The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Nathan Cullen, Parm Gill, Alexandrine Latendresse, Hon. Dominic LeBlanc, Tom Lukiwski, Dave MacKenzie, Costas Menegakis, Joe Preston, Scott Reid, Craig Scott and Nycole Turmel.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Stéphane Dion for Hon. Dominic LeBlanc.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Andre Barnes, Analyst; Michel Bédard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Hon. John Duncan, P.C., M.P., Vancouver Island North; James Lunney, M.P., Nanaimo—Alberni; Murray Rankin, M.P., Victoria.

 

Participants present: Elections Canada: Benoit Montpetit, Team Leader, Technical Expert, Electoral Geography.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed its study of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for British Columbia 2012, referred to the Committee on Monday, January 28, 2013.
 

John Duncan, James Lunney and Murray Rankin made statements and answered questions.

 

At 11:52 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed its study of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for New Brunswick 2012, referred to the Committee on Monday, January 28, 2013.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for New Brunswick 2012".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

At 12:21 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
