The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Pat Martin, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Denis Blanchette, Kelly Block, Alexandre Boulerice, Peter Braid, Ron Cannan, Jacques Gourde, Pat Martin, Mathieu Ravignat and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Candice Hoeppner for Ron Cannan, Hon. Dominic LeBlanc for Hon. John McCallum and Bev Shipley for Bernard Trottier.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Édison Roy-César, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c)(i) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, the Committee resumed its study of effectiveness of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program.

Pablo Sobrino and Shereen Benzvy Miller made statements and answered questions.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:43 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee met with representatives of a delegation from the Republic of Kenya.

At 5:26 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
