The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 8:45 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Mark Adler, Hon. Scott Brison, Guy Caron, Raymond Côté, Shelly Glover, Brian Jean, Cathy McLeod, Peggy Nash, James Rajotte, Murray Rankin and Dave Van Kesteren.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Laurie Hawn for Randy Hoback and Ryan Leef for Randy Hoback.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mark Mahabir, Analyst; Michaël Lambert-Racine, Analyst.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-60, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 21, 2013 and other measures.
 

Laura Eggertson, Martin Lavoie, Richard Paton, David Phillips, Karen Proud and Garth Manness, by teleconference from Winnipeg, Manitoba, made statements and answered questions.

 

At 10:14 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Mike Moffatt, Rob Cunningham, Ron Bonnett, James Laws, Karen Kohen and Yves Savoie made statements and answered questions.

 

At 11:49 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
