The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met in camera at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Greg Kerr, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Eve Adams, Sean Casey, Sylvain Chicoine, Corneliu Chisu, Richard M. Harris, Greg Kerr, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ben Lobb, Irene Mathyssen, Manon Perreault, Peter Stoffer and Brian Storseth.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst. House of Commons: Leif-Erik Aune, Procedural Clerk.

 

Witnesses: Department of Veterans Affairs: Anne-Marie Pellerin, Director, Case Management, Rehabilitation and Mental Health; Lina Carrese, Scientific Director. Department of National Defence: Col Gerry Blais, Director, Casualty Support Management; Col Jean-Robert Bernier, Deputy Surgeon General.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the document concerning the frame of reference for the study of transformation initiatives at Veterans Affairs Canada, as amended, be taken into consideration.

 

At 3:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:04 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of Transformation Initiatives at Veterans Affairs Canada.
 

Anne-Marie Pellerin, Lina Carrese and Col Jean-Robert Bernier, made statements and, with Col Gerry Blais, answered questions.

 

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
