I want to go to Mr. Obhrai, and then we'll go back to Mr. Dewar to read the motion into the record and see if there's any discussion or if we can just move forward.
Mr. Chair, I want to say that it is not always that I agree with the NDP. In the end, Mr. Dewar has a lot of problems. I always find that the NDP is pushing its agenda. Despite being a fourth party, they think they control all these things.
I must say that I do not agree with him on all occasions, but once in a while he does come up with a brilliant idea. Rarely does he show some brilliance, and when he does show his little brilliance here and there, we don't have any objection in discussing this issue.
    Thank you.
So now to determine what Mr. Obhrai is talking about, we'll move to Mr. Dewar to enlighten us about what is going on here.
    Voices: Oh, oh!
It's a hard act to follow, Chair, but I'll try.
I just want to bring forward the motion. I thank Mr. Obhrai for his intervention.
The motion reads as follows, as I trust all members have it in front of them:
That the Committee support the Government's current contribution to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria; and that it ask the Government to commit increased funding to the Global Fund at the replenishment period, to help provide significant assistance to developing countries.
I'll just leave that to members to consider and hopefully to vote on.
Okay. Is there any discussion? Seeing none, I will call the question.
    (Motion agreed to)
The Chair: Thank you, Mr. Dewar, and thank you to the committee.
Now we're going to pause one more time to go back in camera so we can consider the draft report.
    [Proceedings continue in camera]
