The Standing Committee on International Trade met at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Lee Richardson, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dean Allison, Hon. Scott Brison, Ron Cannan, Claude Guimond, Ed Holder, Gerald Keddy, Jean-Yves Laforest, Lee Richardson, Mario Silva and Brad Trost.

 

Acting Members present: Malcolm Allen for Peter Julian and Hon. Gerry Byrne for John Cannis.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michael Holden, Analyst; Christine Kostiuk, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Dany M. Carriere, Director, Multilateral Market Access; Lynda Watson, Director, North America Commercial Policy; Marie-Josée Langlois, Director, North America Trade Policy.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, the Committee commenced its study of Canada-United States agreement on government procurement.
 

Dany Carriere made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 4:45 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:47 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

On motion of Dean Allison, it was agreed, — That the Committee adopt a budget of $24,700 for its study on Canada-United States trade relations.

 

At 4:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
