The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 9:02 a.m. this day, in Room 214, Wellington Building, the Chair, Hon. Diane Marleau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Charlie Angus, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Meili Faille, Raymonde Folco, Mark Holland, Daryl Kramp, Hon. Diane Marleau, James Moore, Mario Silva and Chris Warkentin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Philippe Le Goff, Analyst; Mathieu Stanton, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: The Powell Group - TPG Technology Consulting Ltd.: Donald R. Powell, President.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motion adopted by the Committee on April 15, 2008, the Committee resumed its study of the federal government's procurement processes.
 

Donald R. Powell made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:24 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion of Mark Holland, — That the Committee review the 'Report on the Investigation into Unauthorized Disclosure of Sensitive Diplomatic Information' published by the Privy Council Office on May 22, 2008, to consider whether the scope of this review was appropriate and report its findings to the House.

 

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 5.

 

At 10:27 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:28 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 , the Committee resumed its study of the improvement of Passport Canada's services in the regions of Canada.
 

At 10:46 a.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for a few more minutes.

 

At 10:53 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
