The Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness met at 8:47 a.m. this day, in the Nelson Denman Room, The Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Chair, John Maloney, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paule Brunelle, Libby Davies, Hon. Hedy Fry, Art Hanger and John Maloney.

 

Other Members present: Réal Ménard.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Laura Barnett, Analyst; Lyne Casavant, Analyst.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness on November 24, 2004, the Subcommittee resumed its study of Solicitation Laws.
 

Katrina Pacey, Kate Gibson, Lucy Alderson, Raven Bowen, Sue Carruthers, Kyla Kaun, Gwen Smith, Lauren Casey, Davi Pang and Cynthia Low made statements and answered questions.

 

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:40 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Sandra Laframboise, Jamie Lee Hamilton and Raigen D'angelo made statements and answered questions.

 

At 1:55 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
