The Chair (Mr. Wayne Easter (Malpeque, Lib.)): We have three motions to deal with this morning.

The first motion is on the travel budget for the travel to Ontario, which was tabled in our report to the House. We need a motion that

the chair seek funds of $55,775.50 for the travel of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to Ontario during the month of October 2000 to continue their comprehensive study on aquaculture.

The budget is attached.

An hon. member: So moved.

The Chair: Seconded by John.

(Motion agreed to)

The Chair: The second motion deals with the travel budget to Chile and the report that was tabled in the House last week. This motion is that

the chair seek funds of $114,384.96 for the travel of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans to Chile during the month of November 2000 to continue their comprehensive study on aquaculture.

An hon. member: So moved.

The Chair: Seconded by Sarkis.

Is there any discussion? The budget is attached.

Marlene.

Ms. Marlene Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine, Lib.): Just to say “on the condition that Marlene Jennings goes”—

Some hon. members: Oh, oh!

The Chair: No. I'm sorry. We need 48 hours' notice. We would put that in if we had proper notice, Marlene.

Mr. John Duncan (Vancouver Island North, Canadian Alliance): If you behave—

Ms. Marlene Jennings: I always behave.

The Chair: All those in favour...?

(Motion agreed to)

The Chair: John, do you want to move the last motion?

Mr. John Duncan: Yes. I move that

the committee travel to Norway and Scotland during the month of April 2001 to continue their comprehensive study on aquaculture.

Mr. Carmen Provenzano (Sault Ste. Marie, Lib.): I'll second that.

The Chair: Seconded by Carmen.

Is there any further discussion?

Mr. Sarkis Assadourian (Brampton Centre, Lib.): Didn't you go there last month?

The Chair: No. That wasn't the committee. Four members went with the minister, for the minister. I've asked Alan to give a committee report to members, Sarkis.

Nobody's listening. Could we have order for a minute?

(Motion agreed to)

The Chair: Shall I report the last motion to the House as the tenth report of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans?

Some hon. members: Agreed.

The Chair: The meeting is adjourned.
