MINUTES OF PROCEEDING
(Meeting No. 9)

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1997

The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development met in camera at 9:33 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Charles Caccia, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Bernard Bigras, Charles Caccia, Rick Casson, Yvon Charbonneau, John Herron, Joe Jordan, Gar Knutson, Karen Kraft Sloan, Rick Laliberté, David Pratt.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Kristen Douglas, Monique Hébert, Research Officers.


Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the harmonization initiative of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment. (See Minutes of Proceedings, dated Monday, October 20, 1997, Meeting no. 2)

The Committee considered draft recommendations for its study on harmonization.

At 10:35 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
