On Monday, September 26, 2022, the Standing Committee on Science and Research adopted the following motion:

That the committee (i) study international “moonshot programs” that aim to resolve difficult environmental and social problems, set ambitious research and development programs, and attract researchers from around the world, and (ii) make recommendations regarding what such a program could look like here in Canada, for a total of eight hours.
